Member Course Walk: Saturday 9th March
Posted on: 6 March
As previously advised, two walks over Stage 1 Course Works are planned for Saturday 9th March and it was agreed a morning and afternoon shotgun start would best serve the timing for these course reviews.
Shotgun Start Access to the Lower Holes 4/5/6
Works continue on Stage 6 and particularly at the north/west end where outfall drains and pits are being installed. This work will be ongoing through this week but the contractor has prepared a route from the Clubhouse, past these works and down to the Lower Holes 4/5/6. Players accessing these Holes will walk toward the 1st and continue south of the wire fencing down to the 4th Green area. Players are asked to take care walking and/or driving through this thoroughfare given the unevenness of some of the area: it is still essentially a work site.
Those completing their rounds in the Lower Holes area will use the same track back to the Clubhouse.
Stage 1 Course Walk:
- As each of these walks (no carts) commence and end at the Maintenance Facility, it would be appreciated if some form of carpooling could take place as parking in the area has some limits
- The walk is just over 1km and it is recommended comfort/golf shoes would be the best given some of the areas to be covered
- For the 10.30am walk we ask that you arrive by 10.25am at the latest and at 12.55pm for the 1pm walk. We expect each session to take 1.5hrs
- The route will initially take members from the Maintenance Facility across and over the new 10th Hole
- Then to the 13th Tee where we will see the form of the new 7th and 12th Holes and walk the extent of the 13th Hole
- We will then cut across to the Parcel F Holes 14, 15 and 16
- A walk back to the dam and the 11th Green area, then across to the 17th Fairway which will give another look at 7 and 12 and then onto the 8th Hole back to the Maintenance Facility
We hope to see you on Saturday.
Kind Regards,
Rob Aulich
