Sunrise Weather Cross from Queenscliff

Posted on: 2 November

Dear Members,

We have received the below communication from Tourism Geelong Bellarine.

” Sunrise weather on Channel 7 with Sam Mac has been doing an A to Z tour of Australia.

We’re thrilled that they have chosen Q for Queenscliff on their national tour. They will be presenting the weather LIVE from Princess Park between the times of 5.30am and 8.30am next Thursday 8 November.

This A to Z tour of Australia has seen Sam visit A for Ararat, B for Ballarat, C for Crafers in South Aust, D for Danger Island and J for Jervis Bay in NSW and so on.

Friday morning they will be highlighting the letter P (Port Headland) if you want to tune in to see how it works and how the crowd gets involved.

Luckily it’s Queenscliff’s turn for Q and a chance to show off the town and its people. The Sunrise team are excited to bring Sam and the weather to town.

There are seven crosses between 5.35am and 8.35am basically after the half hour.

On these visits to the towns on the A to Z tour of Australia, it’s all about the town and its people. It’s imperative that as many people get down to show off Queenscliff during the live crosses as possible to have a great gathering of the community, join in the fun and show the rest of Australia what Queenscliff is all about.

We’d love to see you down at Princess Park next Thursday morning. Do help spread the word too to as many people as possible.

Think big crowd behind Sam as he crosses to the Channel 7 studio in Sydney, hand-made signs, smiles, etc. These mornings are about the people and they’ve had some great turnouts at other spots. Some from 6am in the morning with around 100 people.

The crowd will also be used to form the shape of the letter Q for Channel 7 on their tour – a human Q!

From the words of the Producer – “we’d love this to be a memorable day for the viewers and everyone in Queenscliff.” “
