Course Closure

Dear Members,
Unfortunately I have to communicate the latest update regarding Golf Australia’s recommendation that, based on the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services directive issued as part of the Victorian Government’s Stage 2 restrictions regarding COVID-19, all golf clubs and facilities should close as soon as practicable until April 13, 2020.
The directive that prohibits social sports gatherings applies to golf clubs and facilities, which are classified as ‘recreational facilities’ under clause 5 of the directive.
I appreciate that this is late notice, however we only received this advice at 8:00pm this evening and in turn we are passing this on to you as soon as possible.
OCM Course staff will close entrances and put up signage advising of course closure until at least the 13th of April 2020 as per Vic Gov restrictions. OCM course staff will continue with course maintenance and construction. They have been instructed to bar entry to any golfers who ignore this directive. Please ensure you adhere to the social distancing measures that have been mandated by the Victoria and Australian Governments.
To be clear, the golf course and all associated facilities are now closed until at least the 13th of April. If you have need to communicate with the Club, please email admin@lonsdalegc.com.au
