Claremont Cup

The final of the Claremont Cup was played on Sunday 30 September between the team of Marty Evans and Alan Maloney and that of Bob Macafee and Jeff Nicholson.
Conditions were fine for golf and the lefties won the first to take the lead. The 2nd was halved in birdies but gradually Marty and Alan applied the pressure and were never headed to complete a 2nd successive victory, winning 4/3.
Playing off handicaps of 12 and 13 Marty and Alan had a better ball score of one over the card so it was very good golf and tough going for the opposition.
