Additional Stage 6 Works Advice
Posted on: 19 September
Dear Members,
As advised last week, Council have agreed to an early commencement of works, which includes the fencing of the Stage 6 site, effective from Friday 21st September. The program will commence with OUTFALL WORKS in the area of the 2nd/11th tee and as such we will need to close the current tees for fencing from Friday.
At some point in the next few weeks the 4th hole will have the temporary green in play as and when these initial works extend to that area.
From Friday 21st September, the redeveloped high tee will be in play for both the 2nd and 11th hole in much the same way the 1st and 10th holes now share a common tee area.
Being able to commence early means we can re-open these tees and the 4th green on completion of this specific work and hopefully within a 4-6 week period.
STAGE 6 RESIDENTIAL WORKS
With Open Week concluded, works are scheduled to commence on Stage 6 from Monday 17th September commencing with a site inspection early Tuesday morning with the contractor.
All play as of the September 17th will be from the revised tee on the 1st hole and to the new green on the 9th which will play as a par 3.
On Thursday 20th September a survey team will be marking out work boundaries including the residential outfall areas in front of the green on the 4th hole and in the swale area on the left hand side of that fairway.
On Friday 21st September fencing will be erected around the entire stage 6 works area which will mean access to the 1st and from the 9th will require using the pathway from the clubhouse close to the new practice green and past the cart storage sheds.
The Member access map is again attached below showing these details.
Earthwork plans are due to commence the first week in October although some preliminary works may be undertaken within the fenced area prior to that date.
Members are again advised that once fenced, this area is effectively a “No-Go Zone” managed by the contractor, with all the related OH&S issues his direct responsibility.
This Stage will take up to six months to be completed so we take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding.
Kind Regards,
Peter Daddo
