The final of the Malpas Cup was a very close battle between Derek Edwards and Tim Clarke.

It was the first Gold letter final for both contestants and they were both worthy of reaching the final.

It was a very close match with both playing excellent golf. Tim made good use of the four shots he was given but in the end Derek, after two birdies on the 13^th and 14^th, played more consistently and won on the 16^th, 3/2 .

Congratulations Derek and well done to both players on reaching the final and for the sporting spirit in which the match was played.
