Course Update

Posted on: 5 August

The new 16th green has been turfed and will be in play as soon as possible, hopefully by the Open Tournament.  Work will commence on Sunday 7th August in shaping the new 18th green and this should be turfed during the week of 15th August.

We have been able to secure the turf from Peninsula Golf Club and will be collected next week.  On the 18th Tim has cut another temporary green closer to the tee which will be used only until the new green has been completed at which time we will revert back to the current temporary green until the new one is ready for play.

We have roped a designated pathway on the western side of the 18th fairway which we ask all players to use while development work is carried out.  We ask that players do not walk down the old 18th fairway as this becomes a safety issue under our OH&S policy.

The old 18th green near the 1st tee will be maintained and may be used for short iron and bunker practice.  The practice fairway is now closed due to the stage 3&4 development and the club is looking at a few options with Sean to overcome this issue.

At all times liaise with the Pro shop in relation to all practice areas. Tim Clark has been investigating a couple of options that are financially viable and will advise when a decision has been made.

Management & Committee
