Many women attended the information meeting at the club on Sunday the 26th and it is good to see such involvement and interest. We are in the planning stages for a next Big Day which will be Charity Day in support of Declan Vallance. I encourage you to bring a guest. There are many district events on. We have participated in two more bowls at Inverleigh and Portarlington. Neither of these had good weather and I thank those who represented the club. The SWDLGA Country Teams Day is on at Torquay on August 15th. Some have already entered. It is a good day and supports the District Team. We hope Lynne Toleman might be selected so we can go and barrack for one of out own. The Iris and Charlie Phelan is the next Gold Letter Event to be played. Entries are available in the locker room. It is Singles Knockout Matchplay and good fun. Please enter.
I am delighted to hear that all six Lonsdale women nominated in the SWDLGA clinic at Barwon Heads on July 15 got a spot and will be getting more information on the day’s activities before that date. We are in the middle of the Victorian Travel Season so our numbers are down but those of us who are around are rugging up and playing on.
