Captain’s Report – April

New Members
Since the last month’s report we have welcomed Luke Adam, Ben Waterson, William Fox, David Sell, Michael Barrow, Thomas Ray, Ross McCann and Thomas Saunders. It is pleasing to see another 3 new juniors. I hope they will be regulars in our Saturday Program.
Please introduce yourself to these people and make them welcome.
Score Cards
Sean has noted a marked improvement in the entering of cards but a few regulars seem to get it wrong every time. Thanks to those who are taking more care as it simplifies the process and saves time.
WELL DONE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND SEE IF WE CAN MAKE 100% CORRECT EVERY TIME.
Easter Gentsomes
The first Easter Sunday Gentsomes event, sponsored by Edgars Real Estate, was held in perfect conditions on Easter Sunday morning. There was a good field of 80 players who all seemed to enjoy the relaxed format of the game. It was pleasing to note that about one third of the field was made up of visitors.
Thank you to all who entered the competition, Georgie Clegg and helpers for setting up the room, Karen and Sean for the draws and nearest the pins, Graham Douglas for marshalling, Tim and the Ground Staff for getting the course back in good condition after the storm on the previous weekend, the caterers, bar staff, our new waiter Rob Aulich and his staff in the office.
It takes a lot of work by many people to make these events run smoothly and I thank all who gave up special time on Easter morning for their contribution.
Winners of the day were David Cordner, Tom Hall, Nick Cass and Matt Chapman with the amazing score of 110 points. (Photo on left)
Runners Up were Kate Whitford, Tom Day, Olivia Whitford and Will Slattery with a score 106 points. (Photo on right)
These younger Club Members seem to be scooping the pool recently which is wonderful to see.

Juniors
It is exciting to have new junior members and to see them playing in some comps already.
The Junior program will take place each Saturday afternoon from 3.00 – 5.00pm.
All juniors are welcome to attend.
There will be members there to supervise and give tips and Sean will help when time permits.
If you know of anyone who is interested please let them know that they will be welcome.
