COVID-19 Update for Members

Posted on: 18 March

Dear Members,

In the context of the rapidly developing issue of COVID-19, management have decided to implement the following measures to help mitigate contamination:

  1. Drink fountains on the course will be turned off to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Please ensure you have adequate drinking water when on the course.
  2. All transactions at the Clubhouse and Pro Shop will be cashless or on your member account.
  3. The kiosk screen in the Pro Shop for entering scores will be turned off. Pro Shop staff will enter scores.
  4. One player can sign off for a player and marker to stop cross contamination
  5. Leave the pin in the hole when putting. Less hands on the pin will reduce the risk of transfer or nominate one player to do the pin duties.
  6. Do not shake hands with playing partners at the beginning or end of your round.
  7. Sit in the garden area rather than the Clubhouse should conditions permit.
  8. Keep 1.5 meters away from another person. Practice social distancing measures.
  9. Course maintenance staff have been split into teams to increase social distancing.
  10. Management staff will commence a roster to rotate shifts working from home. It is important to note that there will be a senior staff member on-site at all times Monday – Friday during office hours.
  11. Bring your own hand sanitiser for personal use on course and in the Clubhouse.

It is important to note that club golf events are continuing at this stage. The Bar & Bistro also continue to operate at this stage. We will have more news shortly on the ability to order take home meals from our kitchen.

Members are also reminded there is a mandatory Club-imposed 14 day quarantine period to any person seeking access to the facilities if you have:

  • been exposed to any confirmed case of COVID-19
  • cold or flu like symptoms which have not been assessed by a medical professional
  • returned from overseas on or from Monday 16 March 2020 (there is a legal requirement to self-isolate for 14 days and therefore not attend the Club).

If any Member has been diagnosed with COVID-19, they are not permitted to access the Club’s facilities until they have had clearance from a medical professional.

These are challenging times and the Club needs to be proactive in its approach to this issue. I ask that you please assist us by adhering to these changes and being understanding of the implications of this issue.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.

Best Regards,

Josh Hall
General Manager
