Men’s Division 2 Final – Report

The final played between Lonsdale and Queens Park at RACV Torquay resulted in a loss for us in a close match 4/3.
After 9 holes we only trailed in two games but we couldn’t quite maintain the advantage.
At three all it came down to the 18th hole in the final game on the course to decide the match.
When John Anderson’s putt failed to drop we had to settle for the runner-up position and we will remain in Division 2 for 2019.
Winners on the day were Ben Martin, Damien Norton and Zane Moylan.
Congratulations to the team for an excellent season. Perhaps we can go one better next year.
