Junior Pennant Final – Ford Cup Report
Sunday was a great day for Lonsdale Golf Club, not only for our champion Junior Pennant team but also for the group of loyal supporters and caddies who have given up so much time of their time to make this year a great success.
So if you haven’t heard, the Lonsdale Junior pennant team are now holders of the Ford Cup, having defeated Barwon Valley 4 – 1 in the final.
It was a hard fought win for the team with Jordan Smith winning on the 19th hole, Luke Adam winning (8/6), Ben Waterson winning (3/2) and Rex D’Arcy winning (4/3).
Andrew Adams’ match went down to the wire finally losing on the 18th 2 down.
The last time Lonsdale Golf Club held the Ford cup was 1981, so whilst its mean a while “between drinks” it’s an exciting time for the club with so many fine young golfers walking our fairways and representing high values of our club.
